Welcome to Barr & Barr Jonathan Best! Jonathan will serve as the Mid-Atlantic region’s Director of Preconstruction, leveraging his extensive experience in estimating, procurement, and his local relationships within the Research Triangle and throughout the Carolinas. Jonathan will also serve as Barr & Barr’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Director. In this role, he’ll develop creative strategies to promote our Corporate Culture of Diversity and Inclusion. He’ll also collect and analyze statistical data to evaluate our success in meeting diversity standards and goals and continuously assess the firm’s policies to ensure they maximize opportunities. He will work to strengthen our supplier diversity with the goal of contributing to the overall economic growth of our markets. Jonathan will oversee DEI recruiting and hiring strategies to attract employees from diverse backgrounds and he’ll develop training initiatives to aid in mentoring our diverse partners. Finally, Jonathan maintains knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices and ensures that Barr & Barr stays ahead of all aspects of this important workplace environment.
