Lydienid Guzman is Barr & Barr’s Safety Manager for the Southeast Region. She earned the OSHA 500 Certification that enables her to conduct OSHA 10 & 30 Hour Outreach Training, and she’s an American Red Cross First Aid & Safety Trainer. Lydie is currently overseeing Moffitt McKinley Hospital, a new $310 million dollar state-of-the-art cancer hospital, which is in the final stages of construction and turnover. Throughout this four-year project Lydienid led the Safety Management of this complex, 22-acre site which includes a ten-story patient tower, as well as 30,000-SF Central Energy Plant and Parking Garage. The project broke ground in the summer of 2020, at the height of the covid pandemic and was extremely successful in responding to the shifting conditions during that time. Lydienid provided highly project-specific orientations focused on the health concerns of the workers, as well as targeted protections for the specific active trades at any given time. In addition, Lydie’s team provided ICRA/First Aid/Health Screenings opportunities throughout the project. The numbers are staggering! To date, her team has provided over 4,100 EHS Safety Orientations and recorded almost 2.3 million man-hours! Lydienid is a constant inspiration for her team and we’re so thankful for her service to Barr & Barr!
