Ted Brownell is Barr & Barr’s Safety Director for the Northeast Region. He earned the OSHA 500 Certification that enables him to conduct OSHA 10 & 30 Hour Outreach Training, and has held the highly coveted NYC Dept. of Building Licensed Site Safety Manager designation for almost 27 years! New York City requires a Licensed Site Safety Manager on all major building projects, which are defined as new or demolition sites that are 15 stories or higher, and 100,000-0SF or greater. This designation must be renewed every three years and is extremely difficult to obtain. Ted has lived and breathed construction safety for over three decades on a wide range of projects. As Ted says, “Safety is a way of thinking and a sense of security”. We are thankful for a leader like Ted who has a safety-focused mindset and reinforces Barr & Barr’s dedication to safety on our Northeast region job sites every day!
