ISO New England — New Corporate Headquarters and Data Center, Holyoke, MA
The construction of a 90,000-square-foot corporate headquarters, coupled with the renovation of a 60,000-square-foot datacenter, met ISO New England’s need for more space and eliminated the inefficiencies of outdated equipment and two separate campuses. The completed facilities comprise new office space, control rooms, a state-of-the-art data center, a café and an integrated training center.

PROJECT DETAILS
A high standard of sustainability was met through the use of 97% construction and demolition waste recycled, locally extracted and manufactured materials (within 500 miles), low-VOC building products, bike racks, the purchase of renewable energy credits, drought tolerant landscaping and energy efficient insulation, windows, lighting, heating/air conditioning systems and water heating (38% annual energy cost savings).
First commercial corporate headquarters in New England to be certified LEED Gold.
Team-oriented value management reviews conducted during each design phase identified lower-cost design alternatives that maintained both quality and the schedule.
Operations continued to mission critical facility without interruption 24/7/365 thanks to intense coordination.
