Bayer Healthcare — U.S. Corporate Headquarters, Hanover Township, NJ
The new U. S. Headquarters for Bayer Healthcare was constructed in two phases. The first linked two existing office structures with a five-story glass atrium. Each of the structures was renovated; one with a two-story vertical addition. In addition to these Class A office buildings, one of the existing research buildings was rejuvenated as a fitness center. As part of this phase, approximately 2,500 on-grade parking spaces was constructed within parking fields surrounding the buildings.

PROJECT DETAILS
The buildings and the site are seeking LEED Gold certification. A majority of the LEED points come from improved mechanical systems, selection of materials based on sustainable qualities and reuse of the existing structures.
Situated on a 94-acre site that was once the former location of Lucent Technologies and Bell Research Laboratories.
The buildings are clad with insulated precast panels and glass curtain walls systems.
