Yale University — Anthropology Building, New Haven, CT
The substantial renovation and additions doubled the gross area of the existing Hillhouse Avenue mansion and consolidated the Department of Anthropology into one facility featuring classrooms, offices and workspace.
Extensive coordination allowed construction to occur as a single phase while the Anthropology Department occupied swing space.
Poor condition of the wooden frame structure required extensive stabilization and replacement of the existing foundations and basement.
Historical preservation of landmark constructed in 1835 and recorded in the
Historic Resources Inventory by the New Haven Preservation Trust and listed by the National Register of Historic Places.
