Gelest’s brand new facility is set to redefine the future of the semiconductor industry. We are proud to announce the successful completion of a state-of-the-art chemical manufacturing facility campus expansion for our valued client, Mitsubishi Chemical America and Gelest, marking a major milestone in our continued commitment to delivering excellence in construction management.
The campus expansion includes two new buildings constructed on Brownfield land in Morrisville, Pennsylvania. The primary building is a 50,000-SF new chemical manufacturing facility made up of high hazard process (chemical reactors) facility for production of cutting-edge computer chip technology materials. Support areas within the building also include fully fit out ISO 7 clean rooms, thermal oxidizer system, testing laboratories and ancillary support office areas. The second structure is a two-story support office building, including offices, conference rooms, locker areas and employee kitchen.
From initial planning through to final walkthrough, Barr & Barr provided full-scope, design-build construction management services, ensuring the project was delivered on time, within budget, and with uncompromised quality. Sensitivity to a client-driven speed to market approach of their product was a primary focus throughout the planning and construction of this facility. Collaboration with the project’s design team, PS&S, and all the project’s various trade partners was instrumental in bringing this facility to life.
This project exemplifies another example of Barr & Barr’s ability to manage an ever- changing building environment with precision, innovation, and accountability.
We thank Mitsubishi Chemical America and Gelest for their trust and partnership; and look forward to supporting their continued growth.
