National Safety Week Topic #3: OSHA’s Focus Four

Today we’re highlighting the “OSHA Focus 4” Campaign, which is an initiative that concentrates attention on the four leading causes of fatal injuries on construction jobsites. OSHA predicts that eliminating these Four Hazards could save a minimum of 598 lives per year! Please take a minute to review and remind yourself of these critical tips to avoid disasters!

Falls: Use fall protection, secure ladders and watch your footing.

Struck by: Stay visible, avoid blind spots and wear proper PPE

Caught in Between: Stay clear of pinch points and never enter unprotected trenches.

Electrocution: Always locate utilities, use GFCI,s and stay at a safe distance.
