National Safety Week Topic #2: Mental Health and Well-Being

Mental health is a part of jobsite safety. Stress, fatigue and burnout can lead to accidents. Know the warning signs of mental health struggles before it’s too late. Signs can include: increased tardiness, decreased productivity & self-confidence, isolation from peers, agitation and increased conflict among co-workers, increased feelings of being overwhelmed, decreased problem-solving ability, substance abuse, nears hits/incidents and/or injuries, and others. 1 out of 5 construction workers struggle with mental health issues and if you are one of them, or know someone who may be struggling, please call or text the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 988.
