Bio – Matt Gilbert
Matt Gilbert is a seasoned professional with over 35+ years of experience. His impressive portfolio includes a wide range of complex and award-winning projects. Matt is a licensed General Contractor, ICRA certified and is a Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) by the American Hospital Association. While attending college at the University of Cincinnati, he spent several internships in Atlanta. After graduating with a B. S. in Construction Management, Matt worked in Louisiana & Georgia before his family settled permanently in Florida in 1999 where he’s built a long-standing, successful career. Past projects include healthcare, correctional, corporate commercial, academic & research, mixed-use, and life sciences. Recently, he led the team that delivered the $315 million state-of-the-art Moffitt McKinley Hospital. Matt is well known for being results driven and a solutions provider to our clients.
Bio – Michael May
Mike has more than three decades of experience in the industry and has successfully managed a diverse construction portfolio of over $4.5 billion, primarily working with leading institutions and architects in the Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Academic, Corporate, Industrial, Hospitality, Transportation and Mixed-Use Development Sectors. Mike began his career in New Jersey working on Healthcare, Pharmaceutical and Commercial High-Rise projects as a member of the Carpenter’s Union (Local 620/254). Mike quickly advanced into supervisory & management positions, then leading operations on complex projects throughout the US. Mike’s notable past projects include: Lower Manhattan Redevelopment Program (1WTC), multiple hospital expansions, pharmaceutical R&D, manufacturing, and sports arenas. Mike lives in Morristown, NJ with his wife and two children. Mike’s promotion demonstrates the confidence that Barr & Barr has in his abilities and the recognition of his long, successful career.
