The Williams College South Academic Building issued a Certificate of Occupancy |
1 August, 2008 - Barr & Barr was recently issued a Certificate of Occupancy for the Williams College South Academic Building. Located in Williamstown, MA, Williams College is consistently ranked as one of the nation's top liberal arts colleges.
The South Academic Building is a 38,000 square foot faculty/student learning center built on a site just to the south of the existing Sawyer Library. The facility is part of the initial phase of the Stetson Hall and Sawyer Library Renovation that also includes construction of the North Academic Building, a 65,000 square foot facility that received a Certificate of Occupancy in June. Combined, the North and South Academic buildings will contain approximately 170 faculty offices, classrooms, faculty/student learning center meeting rooms, areas for informal gatherings and study and a public event space.
Congratulations to the project team; they have exemplified what a project managed by Barr & Barr represents to the owner and community. Preliminary work on the second phase of the Stetson-Sawyer Library project will start immediately with full construction scheduled to begin next spring.
