Princeton University’s Lewis Science Library, designed by Frank Gehry

1 July, 2008 - Barr & Barr was recently issued a Certificate of Occupancy for the Princeton University Lewis Library. Located in Princeton, NJ, Princeton University is the fourth-oldest college in the United States and prides itself on providing its students with academic, extracurricular, and other resources that help them achieve at the highest levels and prepare them for positions of leadership and lives of service in many fields of human endeavor.

Designed by Frank Gehry, the 87,000 square foot facility will be home to the multidiscipline science library. The exterior utilizes stainless steel panels, brick, stucco and glass to create a bold exterior with curved roof lines and a center tower. The main entrance leads into the multi-story atrium where a large information desk with its signature Gehry curves is located. The library will be fully functional in time for the fall semester as planned.

Congratulations to the Barr & Barr team for another successful project for Princeton University.
