Glen Cove Hospital issued a Certificate of Occupancy |
4 April, 2008 - Barr & Barr was recently issued a Certificate of Occupancy for the new Glen Cover Hospital ICU, CCU & Telemetry Unit. Part of the North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System (NSLIJ), Glen Cover Hospital is home to the internationally known Orthopedic & Rehabilitation Institute that features state-of-the-art programs in joint replacement and an all-inclusive spine program, as well as rehabilitative treatment in orthopedics, neurology, pulmonary medicine, cardiology, and generalized debilitation resulting from chronic illness. The hospital also boasts the Family Practice Residency Program, which has trained primary care physicians from throughout the United States.
The completed project adds 18 state-of- the-art ICU beds and 16 Telemetry beds to the Hospital. The 14,000 square foot alteration program included full demolition of the suite, structural modification for expansion and all new MEP infrastructure to meet current codes and technology. The renovations were performed above the existing Operating Room Suite which remained fully functional throughout the course of renovations.
