Mount Saint Mary College new Applied Science Center issued a Certificate of Occupancy |
1 October, 2007 - Barr & Barr was recently issued a Certificate of Occupancy for the new Applied Science Center at Mount Saint Mary College. Overlooking the Hudson River in Newburgh, NY, Mount Saint Mary College is an independent, coeducational institution committed to providing students with a liberal arts education to prepare them for lives of leadership and service.
The three-story Math Science and Technology Center addition to the existing Aquinas Hall includes offices, conference rooms, classrooms and laboratories to be used for science and computer studies. A new three-story atrium at the main entrance provides a gathering space for students and a new entrance lobby to the theatre/auditorium. The exterior combines masonry and curtain wall to blend in with the existing surroundings and the building features its own stand alone MEP Systems. Extensive sitework was performed to accommodate construction including new and back-up electrical services along with a new retention and storm by-pass system.
Congratulations to the project team. Due to their efforts the renovations and interfacing were performed without interruptions to any ongoing campus activities.
