Groundbreaking ceremony held for the St. Ann's Home Adolescent Center |
26 April, 2007 - Barr & Barr recently held a groundbreaking ceremony at the St. Ann's Home to celebrate the start of the school's new Adolescent Center located in Methuen, MA. St. Ann’s Home is a residential treatment center and special education school for children with emotional, behavioral and/or learning disabilities. Currently, 105 children live at St. Ann’s and another 65 are transported by bus to attend day school. These activities will continue during construction. The project consists of three components: 1. The construction of an Adolescent Center consisting of a gymnasium, classroom space, dorm space and storage, 2. The construction of a new entryway to the main building to facilitate handicap access, 3. The construction of a tunnel to connect the new building to the existing building. The site work includes renovation of existing roads and parking areas and landscaping enhancements.
