Groundbreaking ceremony held for the NY Hospital Queens Major Modernization |
16 March, 2007 - Barr & Barr recently held a groundbreaking ceremony at the New York Hospital Queens. Cold temperatures did little to stop a large crowd from attending the event to celebrate the start of the hospital's $119,000,000 Major Modernization project located on Main Street in Flushing, NY. Construction will include a new six-story West Wing addition and selective renovations within the existing facility. The new West Wing will house 80 new beds and five additional operating rooms. The scope of renovations includes the modernization of the First Floor of the Main Building for a new Lobby and renovations to the Second Floor of the Main Building for a new Non-Invasive Cardiology Suite. The second phase of the Major Modernization project will include a new parking garage located directly across the street from the existing Emergency Department.
