Barr & Barr hosts a LEED for New Construction Workshop |
21 February, 2007 - Barr & Barr recently hosted a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) for New Construction Wor kshop at the MassMutual Conference Center in Chicopee, MA. The instructor Chris Schaffner provided 30 employees and selected clients with an Introduction to LEED and an explanation of the benefits and core concepts of sustainable design.
An in-depth technical review of the LEED for New Construction rating system followed which included several video case studies of LEED certified projects and a workshop case study tutorial for the participants. These workshops are an important component of the LEED program and included discussion on the preparation required for those seeking to acquire LEED Professional Accreditation.
