ISO New England new Datacenter and Corporate Offices issued a Certificate of Occupancy |
| 19 January, 2007 - Barr & Barr was recently issued a Certificate of Occupancy for the new Datacenter and Corporate Offices at ISO New England. Based in Holyoke, MA, ISO New England is a not-for-profit corporation responsible for the day-to-day operation of New England's bulk electric generation and transmission system. Tasked with the mission "to plan for and ensure a reliable bulk power system for New England's 14 million residents.", ISO found itself in need of space to satisfy its growing spatial needs and operational inefficiencies that resulted from remote campuses and antiquated equipment. The construction program involved the renovation of an existing facility as well as construction of a new facility built on adjacent land. Project scope included new office space, a control room, a data center, a cafe and a training center. ISO New England is pursuing a LEED Certification for this project.
